Mira Costa High School Girls Volleyball

Mira Costa Varsity held its ground to rank among the top teams in the championship bracket at the annual Durango Fall Classic, September 17-18, held at four high schools in Las Vegas and Henderson, NV. Mira Costa placed 6th out of 51 of the most competitive high school volleyball teams in the country. During pool play on day 1, Mira Costa beat Pleasant Grove High (UT), Ironwood Ridge High (AZ) and Arbor View (NV) in two sets each. During the qualifying round on day 2, Mira Costa beat Coronado High (NV). Mira Costa fell to Catholic Cathedral High (San Diego) in the first round of championship bracket in two sets, then beat Village Christian High (Sun Valley) in two sets, and finally narrowly lost to Marin Catholic (Kentfield) in two sets. Congratulations to Sophomore Setter Charlie Fuerbringer for being named to the All-Tournament Team!
